Despite leaning towards Michigan all week, last second changes have pushed Fred Smith to the dark side. Smith just chose Michigan State over Michigan, and many speculate that it could actually be basketball that caused him to turn green. I'm shocked that Michigan lost Smith considering all the good things I heard this week for U-M, but who knows. More on this tomorrow.

What the hell happened!?
The one thing I don't like about Michigan Fans is how Michigan State is suddenly the "Dark" side. Oh my goodness, a recruit decided to go somewhere other than Michigan so he went to the dark side.
To Michigan fans MSU is the darkside, its just a phrase.
may be just a saying but e.lansing is in fact "the dark side". go blue....goblue....
The dark side is OSU, not MSU. MSU is the just the "other Michigan School."
Fred Smith had the opportunity long ago to pick UM knowing it's history and what the school could offer him. He decided against it and went to the school with the better looking females. More power to him. Hopefully he'll prosper there. UM has bigger fish to fry. And hopefully they'll land one of the other talented WR they have offered.
