Could Henne Actually Play?

A lot of speculation surrounds the status of Michigan QB Chad Henne for tomorrow's game. Despite being injured and originally looking to be out for potentially an entire month or more, Lloyd Carr is making it sound like he could end up playing against Penn State tomorrow.

"Chad took some snaps (Tuesday)," Carr said. "I don't know at this point what it looks like for him. I want to watch him again today. We'll just take it day to day and see what happens."
Even though Carr is saying that Henne practiced and is continuing to imply that he could play, I'm still thinking this is all just a big smokescreen to keep Penn State on its toes. Just look back at other injuries and how Carr handled them in the media. Usually he never lets out any information regarding if a player is practicing or not. The only reason I can see Carr doing this is to let Penn State think that Henne could be the QB. If Carr just went ahead and said Henne was out, then PSU wouldn't really have to worry about a gameplan for him specifically on top of the one for Mallett.

Call me shocked if Henne plays tomorrow, but I still just don't see it happening.
