Don't expect to see Mario Manningham out on the field during Saturday's game against Eastern Michigan. Manningham apparently is suspended for the game due to a violation of team rules. As of right now, there isn't a complete idea of what the violation was, so I'm not going to speculate on it. What I will say is that I'm thinking this violation occurred sometime last month and not just in the last few days. The reason why the punishment would just now be served is obvious: Michigan's opponent is Eastern Michigan.
So far this season, Mario Manningham really has been a slight disappointment. He played great against Northwestern, but before that he was struggling. His struggles were really evident in the first few games when it appeared he wasn't giving it his all (didn't run full routes, gave up on the play, etc.). I'm not bashing Super Mario since he is a great player, but it seems like something is up.
I''ll keep this post updated if any new details come out on why he won't play on Saturday, so stay tuned.

"So far this season, Mario Manningham really has been a slight disappointment."
Just a slight disappointment? He's been a major disappointment. If this kid had any desire to go pro after this season, he has so far did himself a great job in killing that dream quickly with his lousy play.
If we've been watching and listening for at least the past year to what's been going on with the Michigan football team we could see there has been a big problem with team discipline. This team has been coming apart at the seams.
That means the coaches have completely lost this team. A strong team not only has coaches bringing the discipline, it has the players getting other players towing the line.
This team has lost its freshman, and the upper class players are silent. That is why they struggle on and off of the field.
There is no sign of things getting better in this department this year and Coach Carr and company has lost this team completely. Slapping these guys on the hand is not enough to shake them up, they've picked up some bad habits because there is a poor cultural undertow on that team, pulling them down. It's not what it used to be, we need STRONG LEADERSHIP.
I don't recall him having a stellar game since he got hurt against MSU last year.
