McGuffie Struggles; Still Racks Up 163 Yards

Sam McGuffie's team played its crosstown rival on ESPN2 last night, giving everyone a chance to see what Michigan is getting next season when the running back heads to Ann Arbor. Overall, the game didn't go too well for McGuffie's team as they lost big time, and that helped to contribute to a tough game for Sam as well.

McGuffie had a really hard time out there as it seemed the entire opposing defense was focused on him. On top of that, his offensive line was overpowered most of the time and he was still suffering from an ankle injury. Earlier in the year he had a high ankle sprain, and it really bothered him last night after a couple of rough hits.

Despite all of the negative things going against him, McGuffie still managed to rush for 163 yards and a touchdown. I really don't think we got a great indicator of what to expect at all from last night's game due to the injury and the other contributing factors, if he can still get 163 yards on a bad day, then I'm excited for how he plays on a perfect day.

Anyways, here is his best run from last night. If it weren't for that injury, McGuffie probably would've scored, so again, that ankle did bother him.

No worries, we all know that this kid is the real deal. Looking forward to seeing him next year.
