Basketball Heads to Georgetown, Signs Two to LOI

Michigan will face its first major test of the season in a few minutes when they take the court against the #5 ranked Georgetown Hoyas. Not only will it be a test to play the #5 team in the country, but they will be on the road, meaning this games get even harder. When all is said and done, I wouldn't expect a win, but with all of the upsets that have already happened this college basketball season, it certainly wouldn't be shocking if Beilein and company were able to come away with a victory.

While on the subject of basketball, the early signing period started yesterday and both of Michigan's commits signed their letters of intent, meaning they are officially members of the 2008 recruiting class for the Wolverines.

Head coach John Beilein of the University of Michigan men's basketball coach announced Wednesday (Nov. 14) the signing of seven-foot center Ben Cronin (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger HS) and 6-3 shooting guard Stu Douglass (Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS) to National Letters of Intent for the 2008-09 season.
The women's basketball team signed three recruits to letters of intent.
