I mentioned in the post below that none of us really have an idea of just how hectic this offseason could be, but I really probably should've said these next few weeks instead.
We all know that rumors of Lloyd Carr retiring will be persistent for the coming weeks and months, but if what MGoBlog is reporting is true (which I wouldn't doubt at all as Brian is credible when it comes to these things), then rumors of the next coach will be the hottest topic on everyone's mind.
As I have already said, talking about coaches for next season will only happen when something becomes official, so I'll hold off until the time comes. Still, one has to wonder how things would play out if Carr were to retire from some time after the OSU game to whenever the bowl game is.
With all of the rumors out there, I would say that this is just more smoke coming from what potentially could be a very big fire. If Carr does in fact decide to retire next Monday or anytime after the OSU game, it becomes that much more important for this Saturday to end in victory so this team can send him out with a win.

I will miss Lloyd Carr not being on the sidelines honestly. Granted we've all got mad at him a few times but still is a classy guy and a good football coach. He will always be remebered, that's for sure.
Good luck coach Carr. Whatever you do, I'm behind you!
GO BLUE!
I agree with you there. It'll really be sad to see Carr go considering how great of a person he is. Although I may not always agree with the Lloyd Carr the football coach, I respect the hell out of Lloyd Carr the person.
All I can say is that I will be giving him a big ovation on Saturday as it very well may be the last time I have the chance to do so.
From an MSU perspective Lloyd should be able to stay as long as he wants to. He isn't a JoePA but he still has a great winning percentage. I like the way Blue was dominated by Appalachian State.
I admire Coach Carr the person. But I sort of feel like the time is right for him to move on.
Look at the number of official visits UM has set up for the month of December...ZERO
I don't think this is a coincidence at all. I hope the rumors of him having Parkinsons are false regardless of whether or not he retires.
