1 year ago tomorrow will mark the 1-year anniversary of the death of Bo Schembechler. It's hard to believe that it has been a year already since he passed away, but on November 17, 2006, the day before 11-0 Michigan took on 11-0 Ohio State, Bo left us unexpectedly. Even though he has been gone for nearly a year now, Bo still is on the minds of many. Angelique Chengelis made that apparent in a great article she wrote about how everyone is remembering Bo still to this day.
With today being the eve of the Ohio State game, I thought I'd post this video that is really the audio of one of Bo's most famous speeches:
If that doesn't get you ready for tomorrow, then you don't have a pulse. Hearing that makes me want to suit up to go out there and play.
Back to the subject of remembering Bo, WXYZ will air a special on Bo Schembechler tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET. Also in remembrance of Bo, the program being sold at tomorrow's game will feature a 40-page section honoring him. Another way that the game tomorrow is honoring Bo is with the pre-game coin toss. The coin that is being used features Bo on one side and Woody Hayes on the other, which really is a nice touch to the whole rivalry in general.
By the way, if you're in Ann Arbor at any time until December 7th, head on over to the Hatcher Graduate Library, where an exhibit dedicated to Bo Schembechler can be viewed.

Bo was one of those rare coaches for whom his players would all lay down their lives for. Coaches like that only come along once in a life time. Carr was no Bo but neither will the next coach be, however, if this new coach can bring in at least half of what Bo did, then we'll all know that he will have pride, integrity and guts. That my friends is the framework of any Michigan team.
